DirectShow filter support for the HD-SDI product family
We are continuously working on improving our product line and adding support to interface with multiple platforms. To date our HD-SDI cards work with ffmpeg, mplayer and VLC in Linux and DirectShow filter and Windows Media Encoder (WME) support in Windows.

Linear Systems ships HD-SDI Quad/i PCIe card with Windows and Linux driver support.
With support for video and de-embedded audio, the HD-SDI Quad/i allows simultaneous capture of four HD-SDI inputs. SDK also included. For more information contact info@linsys.ca

  Directive 2002/95/EC

The Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) in electrical and electronic equipment is a directive (2002/95/EC) passed by the European Union which comes into effect as of July 1, 2006. The objective of this directive is to ensure that electrical and electronic equipment placed on the market after the July 1, 2006 deadline does not contain greater than the allowed quantities of the following six substances:
  • Mercury (Hg)
  • Cadmium (Cd)
  • Lead (Pb)
  • Chromium VI - hexavalent chromium (CR (VI))
  • PBB - polybrominated biphenyl (PBB)
  • PBDE - polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE)

Linear Systems Commitment

Linear Systems is committed to following the environmental policies as outlined in the RoHS Directive. We are currently working to convert our existing products into RoHS compliant products. This is done through the following process:
  1. Data collection: obtaining compliance information from component manufacturers and suppliers; obtaining RoHS compliant PCBs and manufacturing supplies.
  2. Manufacturing Upgrade: replacing manufacturing equipment as necessary to prevent contamination of the RoHS compliant process.
  3. Inventory segregation: seperating RoHS compliant parts from existing stock to prevent contamination.
  4. Process Optimization: developing and testing Rohs compliant solder profiles to ensure products quality.
  5. Quality Assessment: review of manufacturing process and acceptance criteria to ensure quality of product.

Linear Systems products which are RoHS compliant do not contain any Hazardous Substances in quantities greater than allowed by EU directive 2002/95/EC .
